Cradled away from any of the noise and crowd of touristy towns, Roohaniyat is nestled atop a hill of its own. I went here with friends to get away from Delhi's insanity. Our hosts, the amazing Aarzoo & Angad, made sure that we never felt like customers but as guests in their house. The house also accommodates 3 beautiful dogs who are perfect housemates/buddies. The Stay: We stayed in 2 different rooms during our stay, and both of them are equipped with everything you might need on a vacation, the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily and no expense is spared to maintain hygiene. Even though it was monsoons, the rooms did not feel humid or sticky and were pleasant to sleep in. There are wardrobes and lockers in the rooms. The Experience: Being on a work-cation, I was working weekdays 9-5, however, my friends were on vacation and had more time to walk around. For me, early mornings and weekends were about explorations and hikes. I was glad that I had the space to focus on my work and take breaks with so many interesting people to talk to. The Amenities: 100 MBPS internet, Furnished Living area, fully- equipped kitchen, hot water, laundry services, farm-fresh veggies The Takeaway: The rooms felt organic, natural, and cosy, and not clinical as you find in hotels. The setting provides lots of opportunities to explore/hike and experience the beauty of nature. Leaving at the end of 2 weeks was like leaving home and some great friends behind. Would recommend this 110%.
